1. How is the AAS plastic pallet different from
other plastic pallets? 2. What are the benefits of using AAS plastic pallets? 3. How much does the AAS plastic pallet weigh? 4. What does "full duty" mean? 5. Is the AAS plastic pallet rackable? 6. Is the AAS plastic pallet stackable? 8. How durable is the AAS plastic pallet compared to other wood or plastic pallets? 7. Is the AAS plastic pallet nestable? 9. Do AAS plastic pallets come with a warranty? 10. Are AAS plastic pallets fire retardant? 11. Is the AAS plastic pallet recyclable? 12. Is the AAS plastic pallet made from recycled material? 1. How is the AAS plastic pallet different from other plastic pallets? The AAS pallet is a lightweight, full duty, 9-post design, which allows entry from all sides regardless of the type of pallet handling equipment used. Pallet jacks/hand trucks roll under the pallet without having to roll over underside slats. Forklifts do not have to target the space between the top and the bottom of the pallet. [back to top] While there are other light duty, 9-post design plastic pallets on the market, the AAS pallet is the only one in its weight class structurally designed to sit on standard warehouse racking systems as well as handle the racking loads. 2. What are the benefits of using AAS plastic pallets? There are many competitive benefits to using the AAS plastic pallet. First, our pallet is considerably less expensive than other full duty plastic pallets on the market. At 30 pounds, it is 40-50% lighter than other comparable plastic pallets, which can weigh as much as 60 pounds or more. Weight savings equals cost savings. Our pallet is injection molded as one solid piece using no inserts or other expensive fillers or devices. Our high production capacity mold design further contributes to the cost savings. Second, our pallet is designed for easy use in the warehouse environment. With easy 4-way entry for all pallet-handling equipment, operators can move our loaded pallets with maximum efficiency while at the same time avoiding damage to the pallet or loads typically caused by restricted access wood and plastic pallets. [back to top] 3. How much does the AAS plastic pallet weigh? 30 pounds [back to top] 4. What does "full duty" mean? Full duty means that the AAS pallet is capable of handling the maximum loads required in the industry. [back to top] 5. Is the AAS plastic pallet rackable? Yes. Our pallet is structurally designed to sit on standard 42" and 36" warehouse racking systems. It is recommended that only unitized loads be used for free spanning rack applications. Our pallet is not yet rated for free span edge racking pursuant to ASTM D1185, Sec.8.4. 6. Is the AAS plastic pallet stackable? Yes. Our pallet has been tested to over 25,000 pounds static load capacity for a period exceeding 30 days without failure. However, depending on the type and structure of the load, a cap sheet is recommended to protect loads from indentation damage that might be caused by the pallet post edges. [back to top] 7. Is the AAS plastic pallet nestable? Yes, our pallets are reverse nestable. By reverse nesting, users are able to transport 65% more pallets in the same amount of space as conventional wood or other full duty plastic pallets.
